Veriff Data Science in Practice

1pm—4pm (October 2)

Veriff grew up running ML and analytics directly on a real-time Postgres database—it was simple and convenient. But as scale caught up with us, we hit the hard limits of single-machine storage/compute coupling, slow queries, and rising costs. Now we’ve built a data lake on AWS Athena, Iceberg, and S3, separating storage from compute and enabling ML at scale — solving problems of performance, lineage, and cost efficiency that any engineer who’s ever tried to productionize machine learning will recognize as both painful and exciting.
